1. Where is NC Modular Homes Located?
North Carolina Custom Modulars is located in Asheboro, North Carolina. Our offices are based in 1936 US Hwy 64 East, Asheboro, NC 27203.
2. Where Does NC Modular Home Build Homes?
We use some of the leading builders of modular constructions, with all our homes built in their state-of-the-art facilities. Some of the manufacturers we use include Champion, Holmes Building Systems (HBS), and R-Anell Homes.
Champion Homes is one of the leading manufacturers of modular housing and buildings in North America. They have a total of 28 facilities located across the continent.
HBS is a North Carolina native business with over 100 years of experience in factory-built housing.
R-Anell Homes are based across Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Eastern Tennessee. Since 1972, they have built over 35,000 homes.
We pride ourselves in building quality modular homes, so we source materials and manufacturing from the industry’s top businesses.
3. How Long is the Building Process?
There is no set amount of time for a build as each house is constructed to the homeowner’s exact specifications. We take our time to ensure first-rate quality. However, our process is generally a lot faster than a traditional brick-and-mortar build.
We have several award-winning floor plans that we can use to accelerate the building process. Our experienced design team can help you put together the perfect design in a short period.
If your design requirements are a little more demanding, the overall building process will take longer. From the design to the manufacturing and from the assembly to the finishing touches, complex designs are more time-consuming. Size also has an impact on the length of the process.
4. What if We Have Our Own Lot?
If you’re lucky enough to have your own lot, you’re ready to begin the design phase of your build. This is the ideal starting point for developing your custom modular home. From here, there is no need to delay. Simply get in touch with one of our team members and get the process started.
If you don’t have a lot, we can use our expertise, contacts, and a land locator to source a site for your home.
We have a dedicated construction manager to help you find a location. Our staff can work alongside local building departments, realtors, and property developers to ensure this process is as smooth as possible.
We are budget-oriented at North Carolina Custom Modulars, so we will only search for properties within your price range.
5. How Do I Get Approved for a Loan?
Construction loan approvals are dependent on the individual financial institution. However, there are some general requirements from these companies:
- Credit score and income minimums
- Initial down payment: generally between 20% and 25% of the building costs
- Construction plan details: to ensure the project has been carefully and appropriately planned
- Proof that you are using a qualified and registered building professional
- Appraisal approved by your financial institution
We have a list of preferred lenders that can help you with your modular build’s financial requirements. Some of these organizations are lenient on requirements that are often strictly followed by larger financial corporations.
